This painting is created by Johannes Vermeer (1632-1675). The painting is also called "The Dutch Mona Lisa". The official tale about this painting goes like this. The model who sits in front of Vermeer was the maid of the Vermeer family. And the master himself fell in love with that girl, but his wife forced that maid to flee away because that kind of relationship is not acceptable. The story mentions that Vermeer gave that earring to that girl as a gift. And of course, that beautiful and sad story gave an innovation for the movie's plays. But the fact is that story is a myth.
But the fact is that in the most modern theories that girl didn't even have that famous earring. When we are taking a closer look at the earring. We might see that is not even the pearl. It looks like a metal ball or maybe a droplet of mercury. And then we might look at the blue bandana that the girl wears. The blue color might mean that the thoughts of that girl are from heaven because the blue color means heaven.
When we are looking at religious paintings. And one of them is pictured in Valamo Monastery in Finland (The Second image), we see a holy person wearing a blue toga. There is an interesting detail in that painting that was photographed in Valamo. In the place of the tree is the ghost-looking area there could be the figure that somebody tried to vanish. There could be larger Mary, the mother of Jesus creature. But that creature is wiped away for some unknown reason. The shape of that thing remains in that painting.
The blue color could mean that the person hides his identity. So the blue bandana could mean that the girl is very intelligent. And the mercury droplet means that the person who is in the image has impressive thoughts that sometimes drop to other people. The mercury droplet means that even if the person will try to hide the intelligent nature there are always dropping nice and beautiful ideas that have the price in gold.
