The Artist in his Studio (Rembrandt Van Rijn c.1628)

This painting portraits the probably young painter working in his studio. The remarkable detail in this painting is the face of the painter. The face seems covered with a mask. And if Rembrandt didn't make that painting in the 17th century, I would swear that the painter's face is covered by using plastic or some other synthetic material. The face of the painter is black, like two bites of carbon. And that will bring the demonic or mysterious aspect in that painting. 

Sometimes I have asked myself, that is it possible that the famous cartoonist Hérge has got the idea for the face of his famous cartoon character Tintin from the painter, who is acting as the model in this painting. Sometimes that character seemed a little bit scary like a "vampire". Because the skin is white and the eyes are weird. But otherwise, he seems kind. 

Or maybe the painter is not a demonic character. But he is very mystic. What does he think? And the major question, that rises in my head is, does that person know about observer? Or is Rembrandt made that portrait without the permission of the model? The faces of the painter are interesting because Rembrandt is usually accurate about finishing the faces. Why Rembrandt left faces without finishing?

The question is who is acting as a model for that painting? It's hard to estimate the age of the model because the face is somehow synthetic. But the small size and some other details are telling that the painter is quite young. Rembrandt might paint that person by using mirrors or camera obscura. And there is the possibility that the orderer of that painting has asked Rembrandt to hide the painter's identity.

Cognito Ergo Sum "I think I am," said René Descartes, and the question is does the thinking mean that person or creature exists. So when we are thinking that only aware creatures can think we must realize that there is a question what makes this Descartes quote one of the most interesting topics in history. That question is that would the creature need the ability to think that it exists?

If we are thinking about things like stones they exist. We can test that thing by kicking the stone without a shoe, and that thing proves that thing exists. So does the ability to react to some kind of things like yelling by saying, "are you all right" mean that the creature understands the meaning of the words? The artificially intelligent robot can emulate feelings by looking at certain marks from the face of a human.

When the volume of the speech rises very high that robot can say "please low down your noise". Or if a person seems to be red or breathing badly that robot can go and offer help and use things like Heimlich Maneuver, but the thing is that certain parameters activate the action what the robot makes. Those actions are stored in the database, certain modules that include certain actions. But that doesn't mean that the robot understands what it does.

The fact is that if we are thinking of things like bugs, we must ask are those things real or are they alive. The answer is biologically bugs are alive creatures because they can make descendants and they can defend themselves. If some wasp would sting you, that thing means that the wasp exists, and that experience would be painful. But then we might think robot what would make copies of itself, and defend its operation area. The robot that makes copies of itself could call the "Von Neumann machines".

The fact is that if some car factory, what can make sub-robots that can find the raw materials independently and make copies of itself would also defend its area what makes it less living than some bug? The Von Neumann-machine can make powerful things like copies of itself, but it might not realize what it does. So does wasp understand what it does, when it puts its sting in the human skin? That thing is interesting. The very complicated Von Neumann-machines would be the things, what would revolutionize many things.

Quantum computers are causing the revolution in artificial intelligence. Quantum computers can run more complicated algorithms than we ever imagine. So even the computing capacity would put limits to the operations of artificial intelligence, we must realize that the quantum computers would make things, what computers ever make.

Can we turn our brains into the quantum computer?

Can we turn our brains into the quantum computer? Here I mean that could we put a person in a controlled dream, where the neural network of brains is operating as a quantum computer.

And that thing causes the discussions, what are the limits of artificial intelligence? Can we someday turn our brains into the quantum computer? In that case, the person would put in the condition, where the consciousness is connected off. Then the person would turn to the quantum computer, what operates by following the electric impulses, what are giving the impulses through the neural tracks.

In that case, the person would put in the "controlled dream", and then the brain would acting like the quantum computer. In some of the wildest ideas or jokes, the abductions are things, that are made, when the humanoids need more calculation capacity in their crafts. The fact is that the neural tracks neural systems that are connected to a computer can act as the quantum computer.

My dear readers, I have almost forgotten to write in these sites of the Blogger, and the reason is, that sometimes it's time to renew. I know that this might be feel or hear something, what I have written earlier. The blogger is a good platform and I would ever leave it. I have many feelings about this platform, and one is, that I published my first blog writing in here sometimes around ten years ago.

That writing was caused very positive feedback, and I started to write things first once in the month, but then more often. There are many people, who don't like this kind of texts, but then I must say, that I don't either like every persons or text, what I see, and maybe somebody is interested about this way of seeing the things. I have also right to dislike some person or texts.

First I was hiding my name for some reasons, what are only in my knowledge. But then I got more courage because of the positive feedback, what I got from my friends and other people. And I really believe that writings can change the world. The pen is the more powerful weapon than any gun, and this is the thing, what I learned from some book, what handled propaganda. The words are making motive to defend own ideology, and thoughts.

There have been happened many things after that, and the Blogger is not the only blog service in the world.  Here I mean, that sometimes it' very interesting to start with a new platform, as I have written many times before. And there is one thing, the new platform is not connected to one browser, so that is easier to handle. But don't worry I will sometimes continue to write also in here.

Of course, there is the possibility, that I will someday return to write texts here, but now "when inspiration strikes" the thing, what you might know is the primary area for my texts. But as you see, that there is the possibility, that I will someday return, and while waiting for that day, you might find my writings from the blogs, what are linked below the text. So see you there, and sometimes I will say, that may be in some day, I will start to write here again. And actually, if I would not update here something for a while, you might see my other blogs, what are linked to below the text.

There is one thing about publishing. Sometimes somebody doesn't like texts, what is written, and the thing is, that person who writes blogs cannot use only one service. There is always the possibility, that somebody would get angry about this kind of writings, and then the blog might face the censorship, what means that it can be denied, or getting to that work space might be make harder. And this is the thing, why sometimes must person change the platform, where the texts have been published.

Two portraits of George Washington

Above the text is the portrait of George Washington, the first president of the United States of America. In this picture is a very interesting detail, and it is like the threat that this man would strike his hand to the quill, what is on the table. This detail is a very interesting thing in this painting, what is not, of course, the only one portrait, what is painted about this man, who was the first commander of the United States military forces. This painting was made by Gilbert Stuart in the year 1796, three years before the death of Washington  and the name of it is "Portrait of George Washington"

This man is a very interesting person, and when you read the background of Washington, you must notice that George Washington was not the most trustable selection for the leader of the independence fighters. This man was the only person, who survived in the ambush of the French troops in the seven years war, and then he was selected as the commanding officer. His background was English nobleman and in the stories, this man was the son of the priest, who drunk very much.

But the reason, why George Washington was elected were that he was suitable for this job is that he was old enough that he couldn't rule the country very long if he made the decision to stay in the position as the ruler of the nation. He was born in 1732 and died in 1799, at the age of 67, that means that he was quite an old man. And in some portraits, he was shown as the strong but at the same time frozen man, who was giving the hope and trust for men, and he takes those men in the command, and the picture is portraying the case when Washington and his army made camp in the Valley Forge. Here I must say, that I call the continental army as the "independence army".

This portrait is a well-known item, what portraits the independence army traveling or marching in the forest, in the cold weather. There are many portraits of this very well known freedom fighter, and I took two of them in this text. At the above is the picture, where Washington stands in the side of the desk, and the quill is at the table. I sometimes think, why the painter has been portrayed him in this position? There are many things, what makes this painting very symbolic version of the way of using force in the United States of America.

The quill must symbolize the relationship between the president and the media. The reason, what made the independence fight successful, was that those leaders of the independence army were able to tell, the things what they represented to the great audience. That was the reason, why those people joined the independence movement, and the reason, why the army was standing in the line, was that the leaders were with them. Or this is the image, what is shown to the people. Actually, we cannot be sure, was Washington even with his men. If he was in somewhere at Alaska or Sibir, that would give a very effective tool in the hands of the Senate to keep this man in control.

This is of course only the philosophical period in this text, but the Senate must have something, what had the power against this man if he would not step away voluntary. And in theory, this can be one reason, why Washington elected to rule the United States after the independence war. We know, that this man was portrayed as a hero, but was the portrayer himself or somebody else. We can say, that those paintings, what are in the Finnish Wikipedia page about him are portraying any real situation, and this is the thing, what we must realize when we are looking at this man. He was the first president of the United States, and he had a very strong influence on the nation.And here I must say, that this man was very dangerous in the first years in the United States. He knew many secrets, what could cause death on both sides of the just independent states. So in that time, there were many people, who wanted to defame this man, who was the first man, who won the British army.

Above the text is an image, what is drawn by artist Patrick Reilly. The image is about the fictional shipwreck in some planet, what is far away from the Earth. This image hides also the double-effect because this kind of picture or object in the picture also looks like some kind of cannon. So when we are thinking about the art and drawings, there is something, what makes the image inside the artists head, and when we are thinking about sci-fi art, there are many times very militaristic things in those pictures. In the last text, what I wrote is a picture above it. When we are thinking about that propaganda poster, there are many interesting details, what I was not mentioned. The person who stands on the left side seems, that this action would not be done voluntary, and the other man seems to show the things of the space station and the spaceship at the front of it for the other person by using force. The spacecraft looks like a nuclear weapon, where is the chemical laser in the middle of it, and then the acetylene lamps would start to pump energy to that device.

At the top will be the tank, what is filled with Lithium, and when the laser will hit it, or to the small bite of plutonium, would it start the fusion reaction. This kind of base could also be the underwater position, and it can locate at the near of the Novaja Zemlja. When we are thinking about this kind of paintings or the bases, what they would portray, the similar technology, what is developed for space stations would also be used in the special underwater structures.

The extraordinary people, who are making extraordinary things, need an extraordinary workspace. In fact if the thing is about the underwater developing center, would that atom bomb used for terminating those scientists and engineers, who are working in the station, what would be used to create the most interesting military technology, would be controlled by using that kind of threat. The window actually seems like equipped with similar explosives what are used in the fighter-aircraft. And they can be exploded if somebody would try to rebel against the government. There are rumors, that this kind of bases actually exists, and the persons, who are working in there are specially secured, what means, that their skins might be sterilized.

"Somebody is watching" theme in sci-fi art

The thing in sci-fi art is that somehow there would be something, what is hidden from the public. Or what is hiding in the space or another planet, and those creatures are always strange or hidden. Sometimes I have thought sill things while looking at the photographs, what is taken from the spacewalk, and I must ask one question, how the men in the control room really know who is in the picture.

Those pictures, where the astronauts are hiding behind the black masks, what are protecting them against the radiation, what comes from the sun, have given the reason for writing very weird stories about this kind of things. In those stories astronauts are facing something, that is very frightening and unknown to the people.

Once I read a book, where astronauts operated secretly with humanoids and the story was fascinating.  The idea was that the control of the spaceflight was used the choreography, where alien was opposite of the human in the space suit, what was similar, with the suit, what was used by humans. The idea was, that there was no difference between man and alien when they were in the space suits.

The idea of the space art and sci-fi books are similar to books, what are written about submarines. The men in the closed space with no change to escape is fascinated the writers from Jules Verne to Stanislaw Lem, and this idea of the lonely ship lonely in the space is very interesting. It would give the writer freedom for writing the things, what would feel to be in the spacecraft over the hostile planet. The set is similar to the Jules Verne's Captain Nemo-books, where captain Nemo is under the polar ice with his submarine "Nautilus", and this submarine is losing the oxygen.

The idea is that behind the steel core is the crew, fighting against the enemy, what is coming from outer space. In those fictional space journeys, the spaceship is portrayed as an independent state. There is no way to send the message to the base, what is very far away, and that's why those crew members must be very independent because the help would not be expected when they are in trouble. And that thing makes sci-fi books very interesting. And of course, sci-fi books are containing many things, what fascinates people, and they make an influence for the sci-fi drawings and paintings.

Gustav Klutsits: "Fulfilled plan, Great work".

Latvian born artist Gustav Klutsits made this avantgarde- or propaganda poster in 1930, for 13th. anniversary of the revolution. There is a hand, what is filled with smaller hands. And the message of this poster is, that the group gives power. The message of that propagandist poster is very strong, and they are given very good ideas for many people, even if they don't like communists. The idea of the poster is that every whole is consists of individual units.

 And if the whole would want to be strong, every each individual must work for it. The idea is to demonstrate the state as an organism, what consists of the individual cells. This seems a very good idea, but the problem is, that this way to think makes possible to make the most horrific crimes, what mankind ever think. The idea of this way to think is that if the individual becomes useless for the system or composition must that individual removed immediately. And that would justify and legalize the political arresting. But there is some other thing, what we must understand.

This thing, that every single individual must work in the same way, and act in the same way with others, also makes the henchmen think that they are released from the moralistic and ethic responsibility when they are following the orders of their leaders. In this way of thinking, the structure is more important than the individual, and when an individual turns to useless that part can be removed. This would work in a short period, but when enough parts have been removed, would the whole become useless, because the parts must be replaced with other parts and making new parts costs time, and this means that the replacing some parts with other would be possible in the fast period in one case.

If there is stored spare parts in some storage,  the replacement would be very easy. The lower level of parts like screws are almost always found from the storage, but replacement of higher level of parts like gearwheels are not stored so much. And this gave an idea in the head of Joseph Stalin, that he was the most difficult part of the system to replace and all the parts of the system or machine are working for this particular part, what is like the god or master particle for other particles of the machine. The idea is that every machine must be the top piece, what has the justification to give orders for every other particle in the machine.
